Assistant Inspector General of Prisons, (AIG Prisons or AIG of Prisons) is a high ranking officer in the provincial prison system, usually equivalent in rank to the Senior Superintendent of Jail or Superintendent of Central Jail within a province in India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
